Process of Online Registration with NZCH for NEW Members
Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of the NZCH. By joining you will become part of the wider homeopathic community in NZ and together we can show our professionalism to the public. You will have the benefit of being supported should you have questions around what you can and can’t do as a homeopath and be able to access the resources in the members only area to help build a successful homeopathic practice, communicate with colleagues via our FB page, be informed via our E-News, monthly Zoom sessions and attend our biannual conference to meet and learn with, as well as from, likeminded homeopaths.
Due to COVID-19 we have felt the need to modernise our initial joining registration pathway and therefore have changed from offering Registration Days to an online registration process. This will simplify and speed up the registration process.
After registering your interest via our online form and downloading the Registration Pack, you will be contacted by our administrator, Helen Kennedy. Should you decide to proceed with registration, a non-refundable $50 admin fee is required to be paid. You will then need to submit ALL the required documents to our administration via email or post.

In addition if you are an overseas qualified homeopath a good level of English language is required and you may be asked to complete an English Language Test with a minimum score of IELTS 6.5 or PTE 58.
As there are often major cultural and legal differences in countries a RCHom will be assigned to you and will sit in with you during a consultation and follow up. You will need to pay the RCHom a set one off fee for their time and expertise. This will help you and NZCH ensure safe practice according to the legislation in New Zealand. A form for these clinical observations must be signed off by the local RCHom and yourself, then sent to our administrator.

All new registrants will be sent a link to our brief presentations in which you will meet our current executive members who discuss topics such as Safe Practice in NZ, advertising regulations, clinical support and safety etc. This can be done in your own time frame.
Upon watching them you will be asked to complete a short quiz or interview to ensure you have understood the legislation in this country and will be able to run a successful and safe practice. It is our priority to ensure you are supported and thrive in your endeavours to establish yourself as a homeopath in your community.
Once you are given a pass, you will need to pay the registration fee. If you are joining after July 1st the fee is 50% of the annual cost. The initial admin fee of $50 will be deducted from your initial annual fee and considered as your down payment.
You will then be sent your Certificate of Practice with your membership number to display in your clinic and a link to our online form so that you can send in your photo and/or logo, text advertising your services and contact details which will be uploaded to our NZCH website under Find a Homeopath. This is a great free marketing tool for you.
We also offer you the opportunity to have a free of charge mentor for up to 1 year while you are an Intern, having just graduated from college or if you are a homeopath new to NZ. The monthly sessions will allow you to ask all your questions around daily clinical practice, business, marketing and so on.
