Meet the Execs

The executive is currently comprised of 5 members (all registered and practising homeopaths) and presided over by the President. We come from a diverse range of geographical locations, previous professions, experience and expertise but have a common love of our profession.

We share a vision that the NZCH continues to be a dynamic, professional and supportive representation of all our members. Below, we introduce our dedicated Executive team.

NZCH President

Jeannette Moon

I gained my Diploma of Homeopathy in 1995 from the Bay of Plenty College (now called College of Natural Health and Homeopathy). Since graduating I have worked in clinical practice and homeopathic education. In 2014 with two of my fellow colleagues, we formed Tauranga Homeopathy, and our clinic is based in Tauranga.

Like many of us, my homeopathic journey began with my own health. This led me to want to learn more and so began my education in homeopathy. This extended to my own family including my grandchildren being raised with homeopathy as part of their health regime.

In my clinical practice there are several areas that I have a particular interest in working – hormonal problems and autistic spectrum disorder. Prior to becoming involved with homeopathy, I spent several years working in the counselling field and have always enjoyed working with people, supporting them in their healing journey. When I started learning more about homeopathy and became aware of the extent in the healing capacity of treating “the whole”, this resonated strongly with my own beliefs, gaining balance of all levels – spiritually, mental and emotional, physical.

Alongside my homeopathic practice, I have promoted education and professionalism for many years. I have been a registered homeopath since 1999 and throughout the years have given support in many roles within NZCH, on various sub-committees, executive member, and President. I was thrilled to have been asked to join this very enthusiastic and hardworking NZCH executive committee, as there are skills and experience, I can offer in ongoing support to our professional body.

Tanja Baker

I graduated as a Pharmaceutical Engineer but  quickly realised that this was not the right industry for me. I have been studying Natural Health Modalities since 1995 and qualified as a Heilpraktikerin in Germany.  I then immigrated to New Zealand in 1998 and have been working in a multi-modality clinic ever since.

I joined the NZCH as a year 1 student (BoP college) in 2007, as a RCHom in 2012 and as an executive member in 2019.

Problem solving is what I enjoy and have therefore put my hand up to support our exec team in technical matters. I am also the NZ representative for the International Council of Homeopathy ICH and the Clificol project coordinator for New Zealand.

Heidi Beck

Since my graduation from the Wellington College of Homeopathy in November 2012 I have been working from my home based clinic, THRIVE homeopathy  in Napier.  Being part of a group gives us motivation, strength and direction.

It is an honour to work alongside other homeopaths to represent the homeopathic community in NZ as of October 2018. I will do my best to bring ideas on how to support each other and to improve public opinion on the valuable work we do as health care providers. Together with Tanja I manage the website content and design.

Tracey Bonnington

I graduated from the Wellington College of Homeopathy in 1998 and have been in full time clinical practice since then, based in Wellington for 19 years then Auckland and now in Raglan, as well as a national and international online practice.

I was a teacher and clinical supervisor for the Wellington College of Homeopathy for 6 years and have continued in mentoring roles ever since.

Aside from Homeopathy, I have also trained in and work as a Birth Doula and Celebrant.

In whichever field I work, I am passionate about deeply honest and meaningful connection with people in order to support and facilitate optimal health, healing and life experiences for others.

Liane Donovan

Liane has spent the past 30 years as a communications professional working in New Zealand, Australia, England and the Middle East.  She has always had a passion for animal health and welfare and has been a longstanding supporter of animal rescue and welfare groups both in New Zealand and internationally.  As well as fostering SPCA animals, Liane also boards Guide Dogs and works with dog rescue organisations.

As a fully qualified Animal Homeopath (graduated from the College of Natural Health and Homeopathy, Auckland in 2018) Liane is now transitioning out of running her public relations agency and fulfilling her dream of assisting animals with their health and wellbeing. She joined the Executive of the New Zealand Council of Homeopaths in 2019 with a view to being a voice for New Zealand’s animal homeopaths and using her marketing and public relations skills to promote homeopathy.

NZCH Administrator

Helen Kennedy

I studied at the Australian College of Natural Medicine and graduated with a Degree in Health Science in 2005. We then moved to Christchurch after 9 years in Brisbane where the climate was very different, although I do not miss the heat of Australia at all. Having moved to Auckland in 2013 to be a part of my grandchildren’s lives for 6.5 years we have recently returned to live in the South Island and happily settled here in Rangiora where I have a clinic set up.

My role as the Secretary/Treasurer for NZCH is varied, interesting and the perfect balance to go with my practice. I am also an assessor for homeopathic students.

As Secretary I handle all inquiries and do all the admin for the executive team. I handle the finances for all conferences and meetings and the day to day running of the Council. I am always being informed of what is happening with Homeopathy around the world which I then share to the registered members of the NZCH.  I consider my life to be a wonderful balance with Homeopathy, family, friends and I enjoy tennis and walking.
