I Don’t Want Surgery!

A 53 year old contractor came to me with a gastric problem that he had had three or four times in the past three months. His doctor had recommended he see a specialist about possible surgery but he was not at all keen on this option. H e described his problem as pain in the “tummy” region, worse in the morning. He would vomit with the intense pain and feel weak and restless. His lower abdomen felt distended and he burped and had flatulence more frequently than usual. If the pain came in the night he would get up and walk around for a while, then have a hot shower and massage his abdomen which helped him feel better. When the pain is there he may go to the toilet about four times over an hour and have loose stools.

He works in agriculture and described himself as having “worked his butt off this season”. If doing long hours on the tractor he develops pain. Once an hour he gets off and walks around his tractor. On a hot day he is thirsty, drinking 1-2 litres. He avoids coffee because it is too strong for him, but enjoys wine and whiskey and has an otherwise normal diet. He tends to be quite a warm person. He’s had a hiatus hernia for years and takes Zantac.

On the basis of the spasm pain, better for heat and massage, I prescribed Magnesium Phos 200C (one pillule to be taken daily for 5 days).

He saw me the following week in the street and reported he had slept every afternoon since the homeopathic medicine. A month later he said after sleeping for that week, the pain began to dissipate and it seemed as if he urinated the pain away over a few days. Following this he has been pain free and has also stopped taking Zantac as he has had no symptoms. He also reported his blood pressure was now “absolutely normal” whereas before it had been just under the “high” threshold. His energy is back to normal and he’s feeling fine. “It’s the best $80 I’ve ever spent on myself,” he commented. It was very clear to Mr M that a blockage had been removed from his abdomen which he literally urinated away.
