About Us » New Members and Students
Qualified homeopaths practising in New Zealand can apply to become members of the New Zealand Council of Homeopaths.
Major benefits of membership include access to indemnity insurance, listing on the New Zealand Register of Homeopaths, networking opportunities, quarterly Council Enews and invitations to seminars and conferences.
The Council requires member homeopaths to have a proven standard of education, including a National Diploma in Homeopathy or four years' training at a recognised training establishment and to fulfil entry requirements. NZCH Entry requirements (PDF 180kb).
As part of the registration process for full membership of NZCH, an Intern must submit two case submissions (not college assessed or supervised cases) and a portfolio for assessment. Upon acceptance of these cases and the portfolio the Intern is required to attend an entry interview. The cost for the case and portfolio assessment and the entry interview is $200.
All cases and portfolios need to be with the Secretary 8 weeks prior to the interview date. Please contact the secretary to arrange an interview time on firstname.lastname@example.org or 0276400792
Case submission and a portfolio example can be downloaded from membership documents.
If you are a qualified homeopath, but are not a current member of the New Zealand Council of Homeopaths, please consider these questions...
Q: Would you like to be considered a professional homeopath rather than someone who does it for a hobby?
Q: Would you like to offer clients the umbrella of the NZ Council of Homoepaths?
Q: Would you like to demonstrate accountability to clients?
Q: Would you like ongoing support and stimulation from other professional homeopaths?
Q: Would you like to be at the leading edge of homeopathic knowledge?
Q: Would you like clients to recommend you to their friends and colleagues?
A: If you answered "yes" to all six questions, then you should become a member of the New Zealand Council of Homeopaths.
For further information see membership documents.
Students attending a recognised homeopathic college are welcome to apply for student membership of the NZCH.
There are excellent opportunities to study homeopathy in New Zealand at the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) accredited College of Natural Health and Homeopathy (CNHH) which has campuses in Auckland, Tauranga and Christchurch and offers distance learning also.
The College of Natural Health and Homeopathy's Auckland faculty offers New Zealand's first and only diploma course in animal-related homeopathy.
Students studying at CNHH are eligible for student loans and other Government funding.
